CX is Team Sport: A Day in the Life Series, part III – Data Quality Department

For CX Day 2021, we are celebrating the impact customer experience professionals make while working as a team. We interviewed several of our BARE colleagues from all the departments that make up the BARE International Team. Peek into ‘a day in the life of…’ several departments, who work together to provide customer experience data and reports to our client partners across the globe.

Today’s series highlights members from our Data Quality team here at BARE International! The key role of our DQ team is to ensure the program results and data is quality checked for completion and accuracy based on program parameters as defined by our clients and their needs. Read on to see what a typical day looks like!

Good morning! What did you have for breakfast?

LUCY, DATA QUALITY MANAGER, US: Tea and toast and oodles of butter.

ARBO, DATA QUALITY LEADER, CHINA: All kinds of bread with milk.

NATASHA, GLOBAL DATA QUALITY MANAGER: A giant cup of coffee.

GERT, SENIOR DATA QUALITY SPECIALIST, EUROPE: Envitas biscuit.

Who did you reach out to first?

ARBO: My team members of Data Quality, to check with them and coordinate and assign their work of the day on daily basis.

NATASHA: The Data Quality Manager from the India office.

GERT: Monica, who first entered the office, after me.

KIMI: Almost 200 shops

 

What piece of advice would you give to an evaluator?

LUCY: Always do a quick review of your report before submission.

NATASHA: When filling out comments in a questionnaire, think about it from a client’s point of view and be sure to include things that you would want to know if you were the client. This includes giving details about any questions answered negatively, or any occurrence that was out of the ordinary.

GERT: Master the language in which you have to write your comments well, and always make sure to read the instructions carefully. Other than that, have fun! 🙂

What’s ONE small initiative or change a company can do to elevate their customers’ experience?

NATASHA: Reward employees publicly for good feedback they receive. It positively reinforces their behavior and encourages others to follow suit. Happy employees will almost always result in happy customers.

It’s 5 o’clock! What are you up to now?

LUCY: It’s teatime (again)!

ARBO: Still working to finish out of the day like report editing and external editor fee invoicing of last month.

GERT: I will go and see a live concert in the park.

What do you enjoy the most about working at BARE International?

LUCY: The flexibility, the CONSTANT support, the recognition of one’s efforts, and the wonderful people.

ARBO: I enjoy the most is that the exposure to the consumer experience and the brand’s retail standard. That’s a close look at the exchange between a customer and a staff member in different industries, which might be more valuable than reading case studies and reports.

NATASHA: The abundance of opportunity and growth. The company has always encouraged people to learn and grow in whichever way they would like, whether it be within their own role, in their team, across departments, and even occasionally across offices.

What do you enjoy in your free time?

LUCY: Reading and writing poetry, stand-up comedy, rock music, history documentaries, and endless reruns of ‘The Godfather.’

ARBO: Watching classic old films or animation, reading books mostly are novels.

NATASHA: Reading, sketching, baking, and most recently I’ve started journaling.

GERT: Travelling, listening to music, going out with friends, organizing poetry events, performing myself.

Describe a moment or memory that stands out for you during your time at BARE.

LUCY: The Christmas celebrations and Secret Santa – the weeklong saga of giving and receiving gifts – is what always stands out. It is such a lovely time around the office!

ARBO: Working with the resource team and Key Account Manager to deliver good quality reports to the client without any delay.

GERT: The BARE events we organized in the past, and any time I came over to Budapest to see my Hungarian colleagues and just have fun together.
